Some Important Points
- India had a great start, taking two wickets in the opening two overs for the home team. Vastrakar removed Perry in the second over after Phoebe Litchfield was forced to return to the hut by Renuka Singh. As only four runs in two deliveries, Perry was forced to retreat as the 24-year-old all-rounder bowled a beautiful inswing that struck his middle stumps.
- The guests’ hopes were raised when Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath performed admirably later in the game. But Mooney was forced to retreat after he was dismissed, and McGrath was removed from the game after scoring fifty runs.
- “It is unbelievable to think of Meg Lanning as a replacement,” Healy remarked. She led the Australian cricket team and enjoyed success both as a player and as a leader, in my opinion.
