The semi-finalists for the current season of Pondicherry T20 have been announced. The last two league stage matches were between Yanam XI and Mahe XI, as well as Pondicherry South XI and Pondicherry West XI.
Yanam XI won their season by a huge 76 runs over Mahe XI, who finished last. They scored 185 runs for the cost of two wickets while batting first.
They then easily defeated the Mahe XI, scoring 109 runs in 17.4 overs.
In the second match of the day, PSXI failed to defend their 122-run total against PWXI. The latter reached the goal in just 14.3 overs, with nine wickets in hand.

After 30 league-stage matches, Karaikal XI, PSXI, PWXI, and PNXI advanced to the playoffs. Karaikal XI will now play Pondicherry North XI in the first knockout round on January 17.

Kaladi Nagar Babu is the leading scorer with 290 runs in nine innings at an average of 32.22, including three fifties.
Shiva Satish Varma became the season’s first and only century, scoring 280 runs at an average of 35 with a strike rate of 147.37. Logesh P is next on the list, with 235 and an average of nearly 40.
Thamizhazhagan and K Sunil Kumar are in fourth and fifth position, scoring 191 and 189 runs, respectively. However, their strike rate of fewer than 100 is the subject of controversy.

Rajakavi Rajagopal tops this list, having taken 15 scalps in just seven encounters. He is one of just two bowlers to record a five-wicket haul.
Next, four bowlers – Harshith S, Karthigesan S, Malladi Sarma, and K Kishore Kumar – have 11 wickets apiece.
Harshith is the most economical bowler among them, ranking second, with Kishore Kumar rounding out the top five.
