Poland will advance to the 2022 World Cup group stage with just one win at the 2018 tournament.
They are drawn in Group C along with Argentina, Mexico and Saudi Arabia and much will depend on the outcome of their first match against Mexico. Czeslaw Michniewicz wants Poland to reach the last 16 for the first time since 1986.
Robert Lewandowski has adapted quickly to life at Barcelona following his move from Bayern Munich, while Juventus duo Arcadius Milik and Wojciech Szczesny have proved top-class experiences.

Poland has participated in 8 FIFA World Cups in about 84 years, so the current national team knows its history well.
The team is managed by former Legia Warsaw coach Czeslaw Michniewicz, who was only appointed in January. His personal bests include leading Poland’s under-21 side to their first European Under-21 Championship in 25 years, and last year leading Legia to their 15th Polish title.
Going into the tournament, Poland were in poor form, but a win against Wales in September saved them from relegation to the second division of the Nations League. Karol Swiderski scored the second-half winner to secure Wales’ promotion to League B, just as he did when the two met in Wrocław in June.
