Plunket Shield is the domestic championship of New Zealand. It is a first-class-level championship of New Zealand cricket. This championship is quite unique. The champion of the league is not decided at the final, the team that earned the most points is declared the champion of the league.
Point System In Plunket Shield
- There are 12 points for a win.
- No point for a loss
- And also no points for drawing.
- In case of tie 6 points are allotted to both teams.
- Here are 6 points also for the win with an innings.
- Teams also got the points on the scoring runs. Teams allotted 1 point at 200, 2 points at 250, 3 points at 300, and 4 points for 350 but only up to 110 overs.
- Similarly for the bowling 1st point at 3 wickets, 2 points at 5 wickets, 3 points at 7 wickets, and 4 points for 9 wickets also till the 110 overs.
- There are 2 points for no result (drawn one-innings match)or for an abandoned match.
- And last but not least 3 points for One innings tie match.
