Players are Experiencing Some “Sticky Balls” in Nintendo
Players are Experiencing Some “Sticky Balls” in Nintendo: We understand what you’re thinking, and you’re correct. The Nintendo Switch is well-known for many things, but it is also well-known for having some pretty fantastic sports games, similar to its brother machine, the Wii U. Nintendo Switch Sports has recently been one of the most popular Switch games, bringing back childhood memories of the classic sports games that many of us know and love. However, having bowling balls stick to your hand may not help you achieve a strike.
These difficulties have been reported by Nintendo Switch Sports players, with balls sticking and not flowing as they should. Some gamers even started the hashtag #FreeTheBalls in comments to a player of Nintendo Switch Sports, @MCwreckshin on Twitter, who posted directly to Nintendo about the issue. This issue occurred during the latest summer update a couple of weeks ago and has persisted since. @MCwreckshin even uploaded a video of all the times this has happened to them.
When you watch the video, you’ll see that almost every time the player attempts to throw the bowling ball, it remains firmly attached to the avatar’s hand. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to hurl it down the lane after a few minutes. Other times, it lands on the wooden floor, disappointing the players. Bowling with a ball that doesn’t want to be bowled doesn’t seem like much fun, and it’s just a matter of time until the irritation presents itself as a shattered TV, a la Wii nunchuck.
MCwreckshin is not the only gamer who has reported this kind of problem. On Reddit, sweeneytoadmusic started a discussion in the Nintendo Switch Sports subreddit, and others have responded, claiming the same or similar problems with the game.
Another user, scowley75, observed that when throwing anything with a curve, the bowling ball tends to stick. However, a separate user, BoomerTheStar47 2, appears to have discovered a bug that only occurs when playing online bowling. It’s possible that this is only an online issue, and the user has subsequently tested this notion offline. While they appear to have less troubles, they still encountered the “stuck ball” problem.
There has also been an unusual twist when it comes to another user, who is experiencing the exact opposite problem—the ball does not want to stay at all and instead wants to fly out of the player’s hand before they even have a chance to move or prepare their throw.
Nintendo has not responded or provided any updates on the matter, but we hope they will do so soon, so keep a watch out if you plan to play this game soon, especially with a group.
