In advance of IPL 2023, the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will form a combined 11 teams. Both teams made their IPL debuts in the previous season. Both GT and LSG qualified for the playoffs by finishing in the Top 4 of the points table, demonstrating how well the two new franchises performed in their initial seasons.
The Titans went on to win their first IPL championship after the Super Giants were eliminated in the Eliminator match. In IPL 2022, the two new franchises hosted some of the biggest names in cricket, including KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, Quinton de Kock, Mohammed Shami, and others. For the IPL 2023 season, both teams have strong squads. We will now put together the best combined playing XI with players from GT and LSG’s IPL 2023 squads in this list.
Openers – Shubman Gill and Quinton de Kock (wk)
Shubman Gill and Quinton de Kock (wk) are the openers. In recent IPL seasons, Shubman Gill and Quinton de Kock have been two of the most consistent performers. Gill scored 483 runs at a strike rate of more than 1 for the Gujarat Titans last season, making him the team’s second-highest run scorer.
Quinton de Kock, Gill’s opening partner, was the Lucknow Super Giants’ second-highest run-scorer in IPL 2022. In 15 innings, the South African wicket-keeper batsman scored 508 runs, scoring one ton and three half-tons.
Middle Order – KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Nicholas Pooran, David Miller, Krunal Pandya, and Rashid Khan
KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Nicholas Pooran, David Miller, Krunal Pandya, and Rashid Khan make up the team’s middle order. The captains of the two teams, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya make up this team’s star-studded middle order.
LSG and GT, respectively, were the top run-getters in IPL 2022. Nicholas Pooran, who was LSG’s most expensive acquisition at the IPL 2023 Auction, will bat for this team at number five.

Bowlers – Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan, and Mohsin Khan
Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan, and Mohsin Khan Mohammed Shami will be in charge of this team’s pace attack. In IPL 2022, the skilled Indian fast bowler took the most wickets for GT, taking 19. For the Super Giants, Avesh Khan was the most successful bowler, taking 18 wickets in 13 games, including one four-wicket haul.
This lineup’s “X-factor” player will be Mohsin Khan. Even though Khan didn’t play in the first few games for LSG’s playing XI, he made a big impression when he made his debut for the franchise. The left-arm pacer averaged less than six runs per over and took 14 wickets in nine matches.
