PGA Tour Power Rankings for BMW Championship
PGA Tour Power Rankings for BMW Championship: This week’s BMW Championship will feature the top 70 golfers in the FedEx Cup standings from the PGA Tour.
At stake is participation in the Tour Championship that will take place the following week. At the East Lake course in Atlanta, only the best thirty golfers will be given the opportunity to compete for the FedEx Cup.
Rankings
1. Will Zalatoris +1400
After taking home his first victory on the PGA Tour the week before last, Will Zalatoris can now say that he has successfully shed the proverbial “monkey” from his back. Along with his already world-class ball striking, he now also has a brand-new caddie, a gleaming new trophy, and the self-assurance to take first place. There is no logical impediment to him performing back-to-back sets.
2. Justin Thomas +1400
This past weekend, Justin Thomas finished tied for the thirteenth place because of his consistent play from the tee to the green. Unfortunately, he struggled with his putting, and as a result, he lost 0.37 strokes relative to the rest of the competition with his flat stick. If he is able to resolve that issue, he will be in the running for the prize this week.
3. Tony Finau +1400
Tony Finau tied for fifth place in what was a very competitive field, just two weeks after winning consecutive tournaments. It is important not to forget that he won an event in the FedEx Cup Playoffs during the previous year, and he has been playing well enough to win it again this year.
4. Matt Fitzpatrick +1400
On the PGA Tour, he is currently ranked first in overall strokes gained and first in strokes gained: tee-to-green heading into this week’s competition. If you want to base your decision just on statistics, he is an obvious choice. The previous week, he came in fifth place.
5. Jon Rahm +1200
Last week, six golfers, including Jon Rahm, ended up tied for fifth place. Rahm was one of those golfers. After encountering some difficulties throughout the course of this season, it appears that he is making progress in improving his game.
6. Rory McIlroy +900
During the previous week, Rory McIlroy’s driver was all over the place with him. The previous week, he was unable to make the cut because his off-the-tee performance was inferior to that of the field by 1.03 strokes. The upbeat report is that he shouldn’t be in as much pain this week as a result of it.
7. Sungjae Im +2500
Sungjae’s, in his three most recent starts, was second, twelfth, and twelve. If we are being really honest, chances of 25/1 are rather low for someone who has been playing excellent golf as of late. They show a lack of respect. This week, you shouldn’t write him off just yet.
8. Collin Morikawa +1800
Along the same lines as Jon Rahm, we haven’t seen the same Collin Morikawa this season that we are accustomed to seeing. The positive news is that he came in fifth place last week and improved his score in all four categories. It’s possible that this is a portent of good things to come.
9. Xander Schauffele +1800
His poor ball striking from the previous week led to a tie for 57th place in the tournament. However, one cannot ignore the fact that he has won three of his last nine races. Let’s not worry about what happened the week before; it was only a speed bump. In comparison to Patrick Cantlay, who for some reason is rated at +1200, he is in a significantly stronger position.
10. Scottie Scheffler +1400
It is fitting that appreciation and respect be given to Scottie Scheffler for maintaining his position as the best golfer in the world.
However, he posted a putting score of -1.85 strokes over the course of the previous week, and he has now posted putting scores above par in seven of his last nine stroke play outings since winning the Masters. Not good.
