Patna Pirates achieved their first victory of the season after defeating the defending champions Dabang Delhi on Friday in the pro kabaddi season 9. Dabang Delhi inaugurated season 9 with a winning streak of five matches and become the table toppers. They were all set to continue for the sixth one but get defeated by the underdogs Patna Pirates.
However, Patna pirates performed hard to attend their first victory of the season by smashing the table toppers Dabang Delhi.
On the other hand, Naveen managed to be enthusiastic to contribute team to lead. Naveen as usual took in with his raid points and kept Patna pirated in the lead. Dabang Delhi faced pressure from Patna’s Sachin and Rohit Gulia but a strong defense show by Krishan, Manjeet, and Vijay Kept them in the lead. At the end of the first half, they took ALL Out over Patna and a big lead of 8 points.
But in the second half Patna pirated nailed after showing an amazing comeback on the mat. Right from the beginning, Patna managed to fetch the points and did not allow Delhi to get a point. Even they are not ready to give them a chance to Delhi to take over them. Defender Mohammedreza Chiyaneh who had poor outings in the previous contest finally come back to his best as he managed to keep the raider Naveen silent.
While raiders like Rohit Gulia and Sachin managed to take good raids points to lead their company. They performed enough to get two Out in a game. And it is the first time for the table toppers to suffer two all out in the tournament, Delhi faced such a big challenge. Gulia took a super 10 points of the match, while Sachin companying the Gulia scored a total of 9 points as it paved the way for Patna to register their first victory of the season. After the amazing win, Patna moved to 11th from 12th position in the score table.
