Career in international level
Pat Cummins is a right- handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler. He currently ranks no. 1 in Test, 16 in ODI, and 62 in T20 rankings of the ICC. He debuted in tests in 2011 and for New South Wales in 2010-11. He had impressive bowling stats in the big bash league. Due to injuries after his test debut, he did not play a test for 6 years till the 2017 tour of India. After the Sensational ball-tampering incident in Australia (which he was not a part of); the board rewarded him with test captaincy.
IPL career
Pat Cummins began his career in the IPL in 2014 as part of the Delhi Capitals initially. He has been on and off in IPL matches due to injuries. In 2020, Pat cummins was contracted by Kolkata Knight Riders in an auction with a whooping 15.5 cr becoming the most expensive player of the season. He picked 12 wickets in his 2020 season including a 4-wicket haul. He played for Kolkata in 2021 and got 9 wickets during his season. However, in 2022 he was released by KKR and brought in at auction for 7.25 Crore to lead the KKRs bowling attack. In the 2022 IPL, he won one of the most sensational matches with his destructive batting against Mumbai Indians.
Personal Life
The 30-year-old Australian Cricketer is born into a Christian family. He has four siblings including two brothers and sisters named Tim Cummins, Matt Cummins, Laura Cummins, and Kara Cummins respectively. In 2020, he got engaged to his long-term girlfriend Becky Boston and has a son named Albon Boston Cummins.
