After winning all their group stage matches in the T20 World Cup, Pakistan made a clean sweep of Bangladesh and West Indies in the recently held T20I series.
Batting first, West Indies scored 207 runs for three wickets. In reply, Pakistan won the match by scoring 208 runs for the loss of three wickets in 18.5 overs. Rizwan scored 87 and Babar Azam scored 79 runs. Rizwan is Man of the match in this ongoing match.
Rizwan’s bat plays a lot during the entire series and for this reason, he was also chosen as the man of the series.
Rizwan also completed 2000 runs in T20 cricket in the year 2021 during this innings. He is the first batsman to do so.
Pakistan Openers make World’s Record and beat Team India’s record
In the third and final T20 match which is going on against West Indies, Pakistan opener Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, chasing a mountain target of 208 runs.
With this, the world record for the highest century partnership for the first wicket in T20 International cricket has now become the name of Babar and Rizwan.
In the last match of the T20 International series which plays against WI, Babar and Rizwan shared a partnership of more than 100 runs for the first wicket for the fifth time.
