One former NFL QB is definitely not a fan of Tom Brady: ‘He just pisses me off’: Even after 17 years in the NFL, Tom Brady doesn’t think highly of Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick made his distaste for the Buccaneers’ quarterback abundantly obvious during a recent appearance on “Pardon My Take.”
One of the hosts brought up Brady because of the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s frank words from June 2021, in which he called a certain quarterback a “mother [expletive].”
When asked about his free agency tour, Brady mentioned that one team didn’t sign him because they were happy with their existing quarterback.
According to Brady, “one of the teams, they weren’t interested at the very end.” “Honestly, I can’t believe you’re still with that pig. “Are you kidding me?”
Even though most people think Brady was talking about Derek Carr or Jimmy Garoppolo, Fitzpatrick is sure that Brady was actually talking about him.
Remarks
It seemed inevitable that I would be the one to say it,” Fitzpatrick remarked.
Possibly, Brady was making a reference to Fitzpatrick. The Dolphins made repeated attempts to get in touch with Brady before his March 2020 free agency, but we know that then-head coach Brian Flores in Miami had no interest in signing him.
Ultimately, the Dolphins decided against signing Brady because they were happy with Ryan Fitzpatrick and the drafting of Tua Tagovailoa one month after Brady signed with the Buccaneers.
Former Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick disagreed with the assertion that Tom Brady appreciates him made during a podcast interview.
“No. Lacking any esteem,” Quote from Fitzpatrick: To put it bluntly, “He would never shake my hand.”
Fitzpatrick went on to detail the many reasons he dislikes Brady.
Statements
The 45-year-old has been the subject of Fitzpatrick’s “Man, I’ve told this story before, but he just ticks me off” rant before. “In Buffalo, we keep being stomped by New England in the annual football game. In 2011, we were able to defeat them finally. At the start of the season.
We got off to a terrific start, and watching him throw five interceptions throughout the game was tremendous fun. Amazing to behold.”
After Buffalo’s 34-31 victory, Fitzpatrick wasn’t thrilled because Brady rushed “straight off” the field without shaking hands. Fitzpatrick was anticipating a moment at midfield when he had finally beaten Brady, but it never arrived.
“No quarterback in the middle of the field, no handshake, and the cameras aren’t even there. OK, hello, friend, take care of yourself. Give me a nod and send me on my way.
Declarations
I literally just took off, “Fitzpatrick remarked. “Simply put, the lack of deference really irritated me. After that, I went into every game with the mentality, “All right, let’s make this dude respect me.”
On the bright side, Fitzpatrick got the last laugh in the end. The 2019 season finale was Fitzpatrick’s final ever matchup with Brady.
The Patriots needed a win to guarantee themselves a first-round bye and home-field advantage for the rest of the playoffs, but they were unable to do so. Finally, Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins pulled off a major upset, defeating Tom Brady and the Patriots 27-24.
This past one was really amazing since it was the “Tank For Tua” year, as Fitzpatrick put it. “When they started off 0-7, some wondered, “Is this the worst football team ever?”
Early in the season, they thumped us [43-0]. Even though they needed a win to secure home-field advantage, and it was his final regular season game as a Patriot, we went ahead and scored in the final seconds to secure a victory.”
Fitzpatrick believes that he may have received the postgame handshake he had been seeking after that game.
“I probably initiated it,” Fitzpatrick said.
The recently retired quarterback has been busy promoting Amazon’s “Thursday Night Football” takeover in the media this week. Fitzpatrick will contribute as an analyst to “NFL on Primepregame, “halftime and postgame broadcasts.
If Amazon is serious about making Thursday night’s game between Tampa Bay and Denver more exciting, the firm will schedule an interview between Fitzpatrick and Brady before the game.
