“once-in-a-century project” for Germany got support of FIFA forward. The new home of the DFB Germany football association was officially inaugurated on Thursday 30 June 2022 in Frankfurt. This project is worth €150 million which will allow the administration and sports to come together under one roof for the first time with a site covering 15 hectares.

DFB campus opening
The official opening of the campus was attended by over 300 guests including known personalities from the world of sports, politics and finance, also Elkhan Mammadov attended the opening who is the FIFA director member Associations Europe. For this project, government bodies have donated a sum of $3.5 million as a part of the FIFA Forward Programme.
The surface area including all the levels of the campus adds up to 49,364 square metres. The tactics wing in the building is devoted to the administration and the other sports wing is given to the DFB academy. Also, over 700 different jobs will be created for DFB academy to continue its various operations.
FIFA director member reacted
The FIFA director member Associations Europe Mr. Elkhan Mammadov said that he is very pleased to attend the ceremony at the DFB campus. He further said that he was very impressed by the campus which includes medical rooms, technical labs, team accommodations and outdoor/indoor pitches. He also congratulated the completion of the DFB campus and mentioned that this campus will bring new opportunities for young female and male players’ development.
The DFB President, Bernd Neuendorf said that this campus is a once in a century project for the association, he also said that the DFB campus is not just an inauguration of a building but with this, they are establishing the culture of solidarity within German football.
