Aakash Chopra believes India’s hitters must perform if they are to win their first Test series in South Africa. He said that Virat Kohli is the only Indian batsman who has regularly done well on prior Rainbow Nation visits.
India will play the Proteas in two Tests, the first of which begins on Tuesday in Centurion. The visitors’ batting will be centered on Kohli, who has a solid 51.35 average in seven Tests in South Africa.

Chopra emphasized India’s previous batting struggles in South Africa in a video published on his YouTube channel, with Kohli being the only batter to produce to his standards.
Kohli’s average of 51.35 in seven Tests in South Africa is higher than his career average of 49.29. While Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Shreyas Iyer have never played a Test in South Africa, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have respective averages of 15.38 and 25.60.

In the Test series against South Africa, Aakash Chopra believes India’s batting would be tested more than their bowling.
The first Test of India’s tour of South Africa will be played at Centurion on Tuesday. Men in Blue will be hoping to win their first-ever Test series in South Africa after tying the T20I series 1-1 and winning the ODI series 2-1.
Aakash chose captain Rohit Sharma and youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal as his openers, both of whom are former Indian openers.
