ODI between India and Sri Lanka: Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided not to include Jasprit Bumrah in India’s One-Day International (ODI) squad. Bumrah was the pace spearhead for Team India and was scheduled to make his return in the three-game ODI series against Sri Lanka. As a result of this another setback, he does not seem likely to play in the first test of the series against Australia in Nagpur. The cricket board has validated the latest report on the situation.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made a startling adjustment to India’s One-Day International (ODI) lineup after it unexpectedly decided to withhold Jasprit Bumrah’s participation in the next series as a preventative measure. According to the cricket board, Bumrah would need some further practise to improve his bowling resilience. Notably, Jasprit Bumrah was previously given the all-clear to play by the medical staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where the bowler has been receiving rehabilitation treatment since September of last year. The fast bowler was initially not selected for the one-day international team; but, after additional examination, he was given the go-ahead to compete in the 50-over series against Sri Lanka, which will begin on January 10.

It is not surprising that the fast bowler was successful in the match-simulation workload test that was administered at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in order to evaluate his level of readiness before allowing him to make his return in international competition. However, things took a dramatic turn when Jasprit took the same test in Mumbai for two days in a row. After the exam, the bowler complained of stiffness in his back and legs.
The 29-year-old athlete has been given the advice to take some time off and get some rehabilitation in order to return to the international circuit in time for the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Because of his injury, there is a good chance that Bumrah will be unable to play in the One-Day International and Twenty20 International series against New Zealand. Although there have been some rumours indicating that he may not be able to play in the first test of the series against Australia in Nagpur, which will start on February 9th,
