The Mavs were successful in defeating the Lakers for the fourth time in a row thanks to Christian Wood’s 24 points and 14 rebounds. Doncic had 56 triple-doubles in his career. Doncic also attempted the two crucial three-pointers. Dallas was led by 22 points and eight rebounds from Spencer Dinwiddie, who scored twice during a late 6-0 run to win in double overtime. In double overtime, Dallas prevailed.
Prior to this one, the LeBron James-led Lakers had won five of their previous six games. He finished with 24 points, nine rebounds, and 16 rebounds. Russell Westbrook of the Lakers had a season-high 28 points. Los Angeles came back from a 19-point deficit in regulation to almost win, but they couldn’t match Doncic’s dramatic flair.

After James made two free throws, the Lakers took a 108-105 lead in the first overtime, but Doncic scored again with 47.8 seconds left to tie the game. James was unable to score despite Wood’s intervention just before the buzzer.
Doncic scored the game-winning layup in the middle of the second overtime. In the final two minutes, the Lakers committed an offensive foul and missed four of their final five shots.
The Lakers were still without Anthony Davis, Lonnie Walker, Austin Reaves, and Patrick Beverley when James returned from a one-game absence because of a sore left ankle. James, on the other hand, arrived mostly in formal attire. Coach Darvin Ham had to use his 23rd different starting lineup in 42 games this season due to injuries. Max Christie, a second-round pick as a rookie, made his second career start.
Dallas led by 19 points in the first quarter, but the Lakers tied the game early in the fourth.
