After the Royal Challengers Bangalore vs. Lucknow Super Giants match ended last night, Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli argued. The LSG player gazed Kohli down while batting in the subsequent innings. Later in the evening, when the players of the two groups warmly greeted one another, Naveen-ul-Haq was spotted having a warmed trade with Virat Kohli.
Glenn Maxwell, an RCB all-rounder, calmed things down, but Naveen once more approached Virat while KL Rahul was talking and denied having a conversation with him. Before IPL 2023, not many fans were aware of Naveen-ul-Haq. Five essential facts about the Afghanistan speedster are listed below.
1) Last month, Naveen-ul-Haq made his IPL debut in Jaipur.
At the mini auction in December, the Lucknow Super Giants offered Naveen-ul-Haq his first IPL contract. His base price of 50 lakh rupees convinced the Lucknow-based franchise to sign him.
At first, Naveen warmed the benches. On April 19, 2023, prior to a game against the Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, he was awarded his first LSG cap. He played in his fourth IPL match against RCB.
2) In the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup, Naveen scored 59 runs against India in four overs.
Naveen bowled four overs and lost 59 runs when Afghanistan played India in the Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He was unable to take any wickets in those four overs.
In that match, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya performed admirably for Team India, which scored 210/2 in 20 overs.
3) At the age of 17, Naveen-ul-Haq made his ODI debut.
While Naveen made his IPL debut with the Lucknow Super Giants, he has been representing Afghanistan in international cricket since 2016. Two days after his 17th birthday, the pace bowler made his ODI debut against Bangladesh on September 25, 2016.
In that match, Naveen bowled a spell of 1/62. His lady worldwide wicket was Mashrafe Mortaza.
4) Jasprit Bumrah is admired by Naveen ul Haq.
Naveen said in one of his interviews that he would be happy if he could become even half as good a bowler as Jasprit Bumrah, who is currently one of the best fast bowlers in the world.
5) In the LPL, Naveen fought Mohammad Amir.
Virat Kohli isn’t the main cricketer with whom Naveen has had a warmed conflict of words. Naveen talked to Pakistan’s top players, Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Amir, during the 2020 Lanka Premier League season. Afridi and Amir were members of the Galle Gladiators, while Naveen was a member of the Kandy Tuskers.
