Qatar: The head of the Dubai General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ahmad Al Marri, announced that multiple entry visas for Dubai FIFA World Cup football spectators have been granted in Dubai. The first visa was issued in the name of Haya card holder- Mohammed Jalal, a Jordanian.
Better facilities have been put in place to speed up the entry of fans into the country via Dubai and the return journey. Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ahmad Al Murri stated that a special team of officials has been appointed to provide visas to such people quickly.
The visa initiative is also in line with the UAE’s support for Qatar, which will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Multiple entry visa is allowed for 90 days. The Lieutenant General said that preparations have been completed to provide a package that includes attractive services for football lovers and those who want to enjoy the New Year celebrations in Dubai.
UAE Haya card holders are granted a multiple visitor visa that allows them to travel between Dubai and Doha for multiple matches. The flight time between Qatar and UAE is one hour. During the World Cup several airlines, including FlyDubai, have announced daily shuttle services between the two countries fifa 2022.
