MS Dhoni is featured in a new commercial for a biscuit brand! MS Dhoni was in a new ad for a brand of biscuits, Oreo. This ended the wait for his fans to find out what their favorite cricket player would say. Earlier, in a Facebook post, Dhoni told his fans that he would tell them some exciting news on September 25.
Bringing 2011 again
During an event, Dhoni called a reporter up on stage and told him that India won the World Cup the same year that the biscuit brand came out. The former cricket player for India went on to say: “We have one more World Cup this year. And if the brand of biscuits can get back on the market, India can win the Cup again.”
“I’m bringing 2011 again because to create history, we need to recreate history.”
Dhoni’s legacy
Many people believe that Dhoni is one of the best wicketkeepers in the world. He led India to three ICC trophies: the Champions Trophy in 2013, the T20 World Cup in 2007, and the ODI World Cup in 2011. Dhoni first played for India in 2004. Then he did so in 350 ODIs, 98 T20Is, and 90 Tests. In all of these games, he scored 17,266 runs.
Dhoni is known for being calm on and off the field. However, the former India cricketer recently explained why he doesn’t get angry on the field. He said that he tries to keep his feelings in check because, at the end of the day, he is also a person.
Putting yourself in other’s shoes
Dhoni recently said on Livfast that he tries to put himself in the shoes of other players to figure out why they dropped a catch or made a mistake on the field. “Getting angry does not help matters. There are already 40,000 people watching from the stands and crores of people watching the match (on TV, streaming platforms). I had to see what the reason was (for fielding lapses).”
“If a player is 100 per cent attentive on the ground and he misses a catch despite that, I don’t have a problem. Of course, I also want to see how many catches he took during practice before that.. if he had a problem somewhere and he is making efforts to get better or not. I used to focus on all these aspects instead of focusing on whether a catch was dropped. Maybe we lost a game because of that, but the effort was always to try to step into their shoes.”
His step-down
In December 2014, Dhoni said that he would no longer play Test cricket. In 2017, three years later, he quit as captain of the India T20I and ODI teams. Later, on August 15, 2020, the wicketkeeper-batter quit international cricket, which made his fans cry. However, he kept playing for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. After the 2022 season was over, he said he would play in the 2023 IPL.
