MS Dhoni executes his famous helicopter shot during training ahead of IPL 2024
Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), has been working hard to get into shape for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
Dhoni, who retired from international cricket in 2020, was last seen in action at the IPL 2023. He guided the squad to a record-tying fifth title, defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium.
The former Indian captain had a disappointing year with the bat, scoring only 104 runs in 16 games. Last year, he was dropped to eighth place on several occasions.
This time, MS Dhoni has looked well with the bat in training. In a recent video that leaked on the internet, the 42-year-old directed the bowlers to all areas of the pitch.
He even used his famous helicopter shot to get the ball to the midwicket zone.
MS Dhoni appears to be in good shape if these brief batting video are any indication. He is anticipated to thrill fans with his aggressive hitting in what may be his final season in the IPL.
