Most Wickets in T20 Cricket: Dwayne Bravo becomes the first player to secure 600 wickets, It was not a straightforward T20 for Dwayne Bravo to achieve a record of 600 wickets. His dream came true while he was playing for the Northern Superchargers against the Oval Invincibles In the Hundred competition.

Former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on 11th August created history. He became the first-ever bowler to grab 600 wickets in T20 cricket. 

In the 89th ball of Invincibles innings, Bravo delivered a superb delivery. Bravo rattled the all-rounder Sam Curran’s middle stump. Curran was trying to go big by giving himself some room. But Bravo made sure that he send Curran back to the pavilion for 60 runs off 39 balls.

Bravo bowled a total of 20 balls in the match. He registered his name with the figures of 2/29. Bravo also delivered eight dot balls and had an economy rate of 1.45 per ball. He was not able to open his account with the bat and registered a golden duck.

Bravo reached the feat of 600 wickets in 545 matches with an average of 24.12 and an economy rate of 8.21. His best bowling figures in the T20 format are 5/23.

He retired from international cricket in the month of November in the year 2021. He retired at the end of his side’s campaign in ICC World T20 2021.

In terms of wickets, Bravo is followed by Afghanistan spin sensation Rashid Khan with 466 wickets. The third position is handled by West Indies spinner Sunil Narine with 457 wickets. The South African spinner Imran Tahir with 451 wickets stands at the fourth position. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is in the fifth position with 418 wickets.

In the Hundred format match, Northern Superchargers scored 157/7. Adam Lyth was the top scorer of the match with 79 runs off 33 deliveries. Ovals Invincibles chased the total with 3 balls to spare and ended the match at 158/7. Sam Curran was the top scorer for the side with 60 runs in 39 deliveries.
