India’s men air rifle ace the ISSF shooting competition by occupying the gold position at Cairo, Egypt. The super trio of Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, Kiran Ankush Jadhav and Arjun Babuta won the gold medal by defeating china in the final title round. This is the fifth medal for India.
The team India defeated china by 12-10 grabbing the gold position. On the same day, India also won a silver and two bronze medals to take their tally to five gold. India maintains their second-place berth behind leaders china in the standing with that silver and five bronze medals.

At the same event, the women’s air rifle team wins the bronze medal in the team event defeating Germany 17-11 in a nail-biting finish. Manvi Jain and Sameer, came through the silver medals in the competition and these two medals are India’s first two silver medals of the competition. These two medallists lost against China’s Feng Sixuan and Liu Yangpan 17-03 in the gold medal round of the 25m standard pistols mixed team junior competition.
The fourth bronze for India was won by Payal Khatri and Sahil Dudhane in the same competition after defeating Norway’s Ane Torgerson and Hans Noestvold 16-14 in a close contest encounter.
