Mendy & Kante Will Be Available To Play For Chelsea Against Arsenal: N’Golo Kante and Edouard Mendy are expected to start training with the squad this week. They were recently absent due to injury and have a tenuous timeline for recovery.
Kepa had been filling in for Mendy before he sustained a knee injury. Conventional wisdom would be to have Kepa fill the position until Mendy is healthy again. However, Tuchel has managed Chelsea thus far, and they have lost under his management while drawing with Potter.
David Moyes accused Joe Hart of being deceptive during the match, and stated that he acted as if he was trying to get out of a hit. He also said that Hart faked an injury in the first goal but failed when compared to his second attempt.
Jarrod said that he never intentionally touched the goalkeeper. It seemed like he might have touched him with a trailing foot but the keeper had already dropped the ball. He faked a shoulder injury and it didn’t bother him for the last 15 minutes.
There are rumors that Mendy has left Leicester since the clash against Huddersfield. Kante has been out for longer as he injured his hamstring against Tottenham Hotspur last month.
“The pair are fine in terms of coming through the rehabilitation stage, but NG has been on the grass. Maybe next week for him,” said Potter. “Mendy will not be available this weekend because he needs another 3 months of rehabilitation.
Edou seems to be recovering, and will most likely play in the next week. Kepa may have the opportunity to impress from the start against the Eagles, as he looks to regain his place in the Chelsea team.
In the future, Potter will have to choose who will be his starting goalkeeper. There is also a battle among Kante and other players for a spot in the Chelsea midfield next week.
It’s been a busy few weeks for Chelsea, with injuries to key players and some speculation about the future of the club. However, it seems that things are finally starting to look up, with N’Golo Kante and Edouard Mendy set to return to training this week. While there is still some uncertainty about who will be Chelsea’s starting goalkeeper, it seems like things are slowly getting back on track. We can’t wait to see how Tuchel manages the rest of the season and what surprises he has in store for us!
