Kalidou Koulibaly (Chelsea)
Koulibaly, a Chelsea defender, has been a mainstay of the Senegal team ever since he made his debut in 2015.
Since then, the 31-year-old has managed to win 67 caps.
In spite of a difficult start to the season for the defender following his big-money switch from Italy.
He had already scored in Chelsea’s draw with Tottenham earlier this season.
Idrissa Gueye (Everton)
The Everton midfielder who has represented Senegal 99 times has the potential to make a century of appearances if he plays against England.
After spending some time with French powerhouses Paris Saint-Germain, the 33-year-old only made his way back to Goodison Park in the summer.
In addition to the 2011 winners’ medal he won while playing for Lille.
He won two Ligue 1 titles while he was at the Parc des Princes.
Cheikhou Kouyate (Nottingham Forest):
Utility player Kouyate, another Premier League veteran, signed in the summer for his third English top-flight team.
Nottingham Forest, which had just been promoted.
He had previously had successful spells with Crystal Palace and West Ham United.
The 32-year-old has made 84 appearances for Senegal, but it doesn’t look like he will do so against the Three Lions.
Nampalys Mendy (Leicester City)
Most people will forget that Nampalys Mendy played in the Premier League when he was a club record signing.
The midfielder, who was signed by Leicester shortly after the team won the title.
He hasn’t quite made an impact in the first team.
Over the past year, he has had significantly better luck on the international stage.
Only in 2021 did the star from Nice and Monaco declare for Senegal.
Pape Matar Sarr (Tottenham)
Despite being a Premier League player on paper, the 20-year-old has yet to play for Tottenham Hotspur.
In the summer of 2021, the young midfielder completed his move to North London and was immediately loaned back to his previous team, Metz.
Since making his Senegal debut in March of last year.
Sarr has made 11 appearances for the national team.
