On Wednesday, August 2, during The Hundred at Lord’s in London, London Spirit player Matthew Wade’s, noted for his wicketkeeping abilities, did an amazing fielding at the boundary ropes against the Oval Invincibles. During the thrilling end, the 35-year-old displayed his athleticism talents by saving a certain boundary.
The event happened on the Invincibles’ 94th ball of the chase. Gus Atkinson flicked a low full-toss from Jordan Thompson that was bowled. Wade perfectly timed his jump at the deep square leg’s boundary ropes to keep the ball inside the boundary and preserve four runs for his team.
The Spirit was able to contain 14 runs off the final six balls thanks to Wade saving a specific boundary.
The left-handed batter hit four boundaries while scoring 37 runs off of 27 balls.

On Wednesday, Oval Invincibles defeated London Spirit by three wickets thanks to a combined bowling and batting performance.
First-innings batsmen Adam Rossington scored 39 off 21 balls, including three sixes and as many fours, as the Spirit were bowled out for 131. The middle order, however, collapsed like a house of cards despite once being 81/3.
Sunil Narine scored two, but Nathan Sowter finished with figures of 3/34, making him the Invincibles’ top bowler. One each was scalped by Sam Curran, Gus Atkinson, and Tom Curran.
The Invincibles responded by chasing down the target and doing it with one ball remaining. Sam Curran led the way with 34 points off 28 balls, and captain Sam Billing added 25 points off 15 shots.
Matthew Critchley grabbed one wicket, while Daniel Worrall, Jordan Thompson, and Nathan Ellis each took two.
On Saturday, August 5, London Spirit will host a match versus Manchester Originals at Old Trafford. On the other hand, on Sunday, August 6, at London’s Kennington Oval, the Invincibles will square off against Welsh Fire.
