Mathias’ Paul Pogba’s brother taken into custody over alleged £11 million extortion case: The former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba’s brother Mathias has been imprisoned and is in a formal investigation.
As per the claims according to the reports he is a part of a gang that tries to extort millions from footballers.
Mathias is currently under investigation due to suspicion of gang-based extortion of footballers and participating in crimes.
As per reports on Sky Sports Mathias along with four other people appeared before a judge on Saturday. They are under a formal investigation. The three are ordered to be detained.
While Mathias denies the allegations in a statement on his social media accounts.
Prosecutors in France began investigating the allegations that Paul, who won the 2018 World Cup with France, was also the target of extortion.

Yassine Bouzrou, Mathias’s lawyer says ” We are going to challenge this decision. My client Mathias has committed No Crime. We do not understand the decision to keep him in custody. Especially as he has an alibi of the night of the alleged kidnap.“
