Manchester United might offload Raphael Varane to fund a transfer for the in-form 27-year-old star
The former Real Madrid defender has made just seven Premier League outings this season. Erik ten Hag has benched him many times, favoring Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans over the Frenchman.
Varane joined United for a rumored cost of £42.7 million in the summer of 2021. Since then, he has made 79 appearances, scoring twice and assisting once.
According to the aforementioned source, in order to fulfill Financial Fair Play standards, Manchester United would need to trade Varane in order to sign Guirassy.
Given his current form, the estimated £15.2 million release clause for the 27-year-old Bundesliga striker might prove to be a steal. He has 17 goals in 14 games this season.
Guirassy joined the German club on a permanent basis this summer, following a season-long loan at Stade Rennais.
Following Rasmus Hojlund’s dismal start to life in the Premier League, Ten Hag’s club is reportedly seeking for a striker.
Since his €73.9 million summer transfer from Atalanta to Old Trafford, the Danish international has only scored once in 15 league appearances.
Manchester United’s management may be forced to bring in a competent backup in January due to his dismal record. Guirassy has 33 goals in 44 games in all competitions for Stuttgart.
Manchester United is in talks with Borussia Dortmund about loaning out Jadon Sancho
Manchester United are allegedly in talks with misfit Jadon Sancho to join Borussia Dortmund on loan in January (via The Guardian).
This season, the Red Devils winger has only made three substitute appearances, totaling 76 minutes of playing action.
Due to his poor performance in training, Sancho was left out of Erik ten Hag’s team for Arsenal’s 3-1 loss on September 3. Sancho responded on his X account (previously Twitter), stating the rationale was false.

Although the 23-year-old striker quickly deleted the story, he has not played for the Red Devils since. Against this backdrop, Sancho is being linked to a return to his previous German employers.
The forward joined United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 for a reported fee of £73 million.
However, he has failed to impress at Old Trafford, scoring 12 goals and assisting six times in 82 appearances across all competitions.
