In a recent video, Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic replied to the accolades he received from ace Indian batter Virat Kohli.
He thanked the cricketer and expressed his excitement for the day they would play together.
In recent days, the two athletic legends have professed mutual appreciation for one another.
First, Djokovic told Sony Sports that he has been texting with Kohli for some years and admires the batter’s career and achievements.
In response, Kohli praised Djokovic and stated that he had a lot of respect for the tennis player and his sports career in a video aired on Bcci. tv.
He also commented on the viral video of Djokovic playing tennis and cricket with Australian cricketer Steve Smith at a charity event, expressing a wish to play with the Serb.
Djokovic took to his official X account on Monday, January 15, and uploaded the BCCI video of Kohli welcoming him.

While expressing the same, he expressed gratitude for the Indian cricketer’s sentiments on him and added:

Kohli remarked in the BCCI video that it’s fantastic to keep in touch with global sportsmen because it encourages the future generation.
He also claimed that his friendship with Djokovic has been aided by the fact that they have a lot in common.
There is mutual appreciation and respect, and it is wonderful to interact with global athletes who are achieving at a higher level.
Collectively, I believe it conveys a message of encouragement to the next generation, according to Kohli.
I admire him and his path, as well as his enthusiasm for fitness, which I share and believe in. So there’s a lot to talk about.
Hopefully, if he comes to India soon or if I chance to be in a place where he’s performing, I’ll hook up with him and just relax out and maybe have a cup of coffee, added the 35-year-old.
On Sunday, Kohli returned to the T20I format for India, getting 29 points from 16 attempts in the Indore T20I against Afghanistan.
