The game will be played in the less familiar surroundings of the King Power Stadium, which is home to Leicester City. This is because Wembley Stadium has agreed to host the final of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 the day after the 2022 Community Shield.
After going head to head for the championship the previous year, both sides will get an early sense of where they stand in this match, which will act as a litmus test after they competed against each other the previous year. Pep Guardiola and his City team successfully defended their title on the very final day of the season, in a match that came down to the wire and was very close throughout.
Liverpool vs. Strasbourg
Date: Sunday, July 31
Time: 7.30 p.m. BST / 2.30 p.m. ET
The Reds will play Strasbourg in their final pre-season friendly at Anfield after the conclusion of their club’s match versus City in the Community Shield. The match will take place on Sunday. A little over twenty-four hours will pass before this match gets underway.
This match will take place against Strasbourg, who will serve as the adversary. As the attention of everyone at the club shifts to the Premier League match that the team will play away at Fulham on August 6, you can be sure that Jurgen Klopp will make extra changes to the starting lineup. Fulham is the opponent for the encounter.
