On Friday morning, three days before kickoff at Old Trafford, Brendan revealed that Firmino is the only player who has yet to play a preseason game who is now back.
As for Bobby, he does not train differently in training. He is ready to play on Monday. Asked about the situations with Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota, who are expected to be the first of the long-term absentees to return, Klopp said: “The situation is getting closer but there is no chance for them.”
The manager revealed that Gomez would start at United having only been named on the bench against Palace due to a little thing. There was no update on Matip, Henderson and Phillips, with it still unclear whether the trio will be fit to join the squad in Manchester.
