Loris Karius, a German goalkeeper, has been one of the notable departures from Liverpool’s retained and released list on Thursday.

Karius has worked three seasons on loan at Besiktas and Union Berlin ever since, but he was on Liverpool’s squad previous year.
Liverpool have also confirmed the departures of midfielders Sheyi Ojo and Ben Woodburn during summer.
Ojo scored 13 appearances for the very first squad, hitting once, but has had eight loan periods in the previous seven years. The 24-year-old spent previous season on loan at Premier league side Millwall.
However, Wales international Woodburn earned 11 league appearances, scoring once, and completed previous season on loan at Scottish Premiership team Hearts.

Origi, who scored 41 goals in 175 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side, has been closely connected with a transfer to AC Milan.
Klopp confirmed Origi’s exit this week, reinforcing the club’s belief that forward should be remembered as a great. He said, “He’s among the most essential individuals I’ve ever had. He would be a complete success wherever he goes.” It will be a difficult time once he goes. He is without a doubt a Liverpool icon.”
