Liman Huishan NE win 3×3 ING Hamburg Challenger. On July 9-10, at HAMBURG (Germany), the reigning 3×3 World Tour champions, Liman Huishan NE (SRB), defeated all other competitors to win the 3×3 ING Hamburg Challenger 2022.
The winners
Winners of the 3×3 World Tour in 2021 In Hamburg, Liman Huishan NE was the only team to conclude the tournament without a loss. They went on to win their second Challenger title of the year by defeating Belgrade Partizan (SRB) 21-19 in the championship match to take home the 15 thousand US dollars prize.
Miroslav Pasajlic, who was making his debut with Liman after playing for Ub over the previous two seasons, contributed with 7 points in the final while Stefan Kojic led Liman with 9 points in the championship game. Pasajlic was named the Most Valuable Player of the 3×3 Europe Cup 2021.
After finishing first among all players in terms of Player Value, Aleksandar Ratkov was selected as the event’s Most Valuable Player.
The Serbian team was also very effective defensively, allowing an event-best 14 points per game to be scored against them.
The runner-ups
In their very first ever 3×3 Challenger, Belgrade Partizan made it all the way from the Qualifying Draw to the final and punched their ticket to the World Tour Prague Masters. This was a huge accomplishment for the team.
Ivan Popovic, a former player for UB, guided his team to victory in Hamburg, where he ended first in scoring with 37 points. Popovic was the team captain. Marko Cakarevic had the most crucial assists out of anyone else on the team with 14, while Marko Stevanovic was a monster under the basket with 26 rebounds.
The reward
On July 30-31, Partizan Belgrade (SRB) and Hamburg (GER) both qualified for the Prague Masters, following in the footsteps of Liman Huishan NE, who had previously earned their spot. Liman Huishan NE qualified for the Prague Masters.
They join other cities that had previously qualified for the competition, including Sakiai Gulbele (LTU), Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL), Marijampole Mantinga (LTU), Washington DC (USA), Riga (LAT), Ub Huishan NE (SRB), and the previously mentioned Liman Huishan NE.
