Lewis Hamilton responds to Piquet’s racist comment
“What if Lewis Hamilton just posted ‘Who the d e*** is Nelson Piquet?’ then closed Twitter?” a Twitter user asked, toward which Hamilton replied and added, “Imagine.”
Following this, the 37-year-old driver tweeted, “Let’s work on altering the attitude.”
Hamilton’s remarks come after F1 and the FIA denounced Piquet’s racial remarks.
Hamilton, the one and only Black driver in F1, has diligently worked about discrimination and has been open about violations of human rights in nations where F1 races.
Hamilton has been the subject of racist slurs in the past. Racists attacked him during a pre-season trial 13 years ago in Barcelona. The 37-year-old, meanwhile, stated that no consequences were imposed. despite being one of the icon in the industry, he still faces this problem.
