Rishabh Pant
The wicket-keeper batter for the Indian national cricket team, was travelling alone from Delhi to Roorkee on the morning of Friday, December 30, when his vehicle struck the barrier and continued on to the opposite side of the road before catching fire. Pant was the victim of a serious accident. Pant sustained a number of serious injuries and was taken to the Max Hospital in Dehradun when a small group of residents, together with a Haryana bus driver and conductor, rushed to his aid and asked for assistance when they saw him in the roadway.
The accident took place around 5:30 AM IST, and the fans and Pant’s colleagues found out about the gruesome tragedy he was engaged in a bit later in the day than they would have liked. Some of his teammates were completely unaware of his mishap until much later in the day, when they found out about it through one another. Pant’s current and previous colleague on the Indian national under-19 squad, Ishan Kishan, was one of them players. When Kishan arrived to accommodate supporters’ requests for selfies and autographs while playing for Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy game against Services, they informed him, Rishabh Pant ki accident ho gaya hai. (Rishabh Pant has been involved in an accident.)
While hearing to the same person shout “Kya (What?),” Kishan was taken aback and astonished. After that, a handful of other fans spoke on the same topic while also telling Kishan to concentrate on the game that was now going on. As a result of Kishan’s strong relationship with Pant, the video has gained widespread attention on the internet.
According to a statement released by the BCCI
Pant was found with two wounds on his forehead, a torn ligament in his right knee, and injuries to his right wrist, ankle, and toe. The administration has given assurances that it would make every effort to be there for Pant and his family and to provide them all the assistance and support they need at this difficult period.
As for Kishan, the 24-year-old will leave his home in the United States in order to join the Indian squad in Mumbai in preparation for the One-Day International and Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka, which will begin on January 3.
