KKR’s Rinku Singh speaks about trolls on social media
KKR’s Rinku Singh speaks about trolls on social media : Rinku Singh has been part of Kolkata Knight Riders since 2018 and turned out to be a known face. However, last season he made a debut(not literally) in the Playing XI for KKR during the last leg of IPL. His incredible hitting in the matches gave KKR a revival to KKRs down season. He grabbed the attention of cricket fans with his performance last year.
He is surely one of the Under-rated Cricketers in the home of Cricket devotees. He has an average of 60 in first-class Cricket and has more than 1000 runs in T20 in 63 innings. However, he has been on the radar of trolleys since he joined KKR.
IPL has always gained criticism, but they have made the lives of many Indian cricketers, and Rinku is one of them. He is the Son of an LPG cylinder supply man in UP, and his ambition of Cricket while living in monetary difficulties was hard.
His performance for UP helped him to gain an IPL contract with Punjab Kings at 10L INR in 2017. In 2018, he was picked by KKR for 80L INR, in that season he hardly played 4 matches and made 29 runs.
Rinku Singh reacted to the media
In an interaction with Sportskeeda Rinku Singh said” I have been with KKR for 5 seasons, but got few opportunities where I couldn’t prove myself. I worked hard for IPL 2022, scoring lots of domestic runs. It has been a good season after recovering from an injury.
It took a long time to recover, but KKR stood by me. When I told Abhishek Nayar Sir about the injury, he told me to come to Mumbai for an MRI. In talking about his rapport with Russell, he said” he doesn’t share any tips with me because he knows I’m not as muscular. I generate power in shots but focus on timing more. ”
In talking about trolls, he said” I don’t allow trolls to affect me, they help me make mentally stronger. But it’s good now my trolls are praising me. I got a lot of love for my knock against Lucknow supergiants and Rajasthan Royals. But try to keep myself away from social media as much as I can.”
