Yesterday was the third day of the Khelo India Youth Games 2022. On the third day on Monday, the final match of Kabaddi was held between Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. In the final match, the score of both the teams was 34-34, but in the tie-breaker, Himachal Pradesh won the gold by defeating Haryana by 5-6 points.
In the athletics match held in the morning, Arjun Waskele was the winner in the 1500 meters race, while in the 1500 meters girl’s race, Manipur’s Bhumeshwari Devi was the winner. Prior to this, Haryana is in the first place with 45 medals till the end of the second day’s play.
KIYG 2022: day 3 overview
Haryana has won 11 gold, 11 silver, and 18 silver medals. Maharashtra has won 31 medals. Manipur has won 14 medals. Punjab has 13. Similarly, Chandigarh has 7 medals in their grab. Tamil Nadu has 8 medals so far. Rajasthan 5, Andaman and Nicobar 4, Goa 3, and Assam 10 medals.
Today’s matches
In Volleyball boys and girls have final matches. In football Pool A will be played against Kerala vs Punjab, Goa vs Mizoram. Also, Pool B will be played between Karnataka vs Meghalaya, and Haryana vs West Bengal.
In Sector 14 Panchkula, weight lifting will be 73 and 81 kg for boys. While 64 and 71 kg for girls. Jharkhand vs Punjab, Uttar Pradesh vs Tamil Nadu, and Odisha vs Delhi will be played in hockey. Apart from this, there will also be competitions in athletics, and wrestling.

Khelo India Youth Games 2022 was started on June 4, 2022, in Panchkula and the other 5 cities of North India. This is the fourth edition of the tournament. The tournament will last till the 13th of June 2022. More than 8000 players are participating in the mega event. Both Olympic and Non-Olympic games are part of competitions. It gives a big platform to showcase our talent and skills.
