Khelo India Games 2023 Schedule Venues, Date: The Khelo India University Games 2023 are expected to start on May 25th, with 4 towns in Uttar Pradesh hosting the multi-sport competition.
KUIG 2023 will take place in Lucknow, Varanasi, Greater Noida, and Gorakhpur for ten days, ending on June 3. However, the shooting activities would be planned in New Delhi. While the ending ceremony will take place in Varanasi, the opening ceremony will take place in Lucknow. On May 20, 2023, the first sporting event, difficult, will begin.
The Khelo India project of the Indian government, which aims to promote grassroots sports and find youthful talent across the country, includes KIUG 2023.
Around 4,000 athletes from 200 universities throughout the nation will compete in the third Khelo India University Games. All competitors will be under 27 and will compete for medals in 21 sports.
Punjab University won the KIUG for the first time in 2020, while Jain University is the reigning champion after winning the most recent competition in Bengaluru in 2021.
For the Khelo India University Games 2023, the Babu Banarasi Das University in Lucknow will serve as a sports village.
With seven gold and two silver medals, Jain University swimmer Siva Sridhar took home the most individual medals at KIUG 2021.
Leading Indian athletes competed in KIUG 2021, including Olympians Srihari Nataraj, Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, and Divyansh Singh Panwar.
