Kalyan Chaubey beats Bhaichung Bhutia in 33-1 polls: The participation of Bhaichung Bhutia brought AIFF elections to light. Being a prominent footballer of the country, the second most capped player, he was the favorite.
But polling results came out shocking as Kalyan Chaubey became president. Former Mohun Bagan and goalkeeper Kalyan has become president beating Bhaichung Bhutia.
AIFF- All India Football Federation President elections took place yesterday. 34 members of the voters list made up of state representatives. The members voted in polling for presidential elections.

While announcing his candidature for AIFF he said ” I run a football club and have been in a state association in Sikkim. I have exposure to playing for England. “
