Jose Enrique recommends that Liverpool recruit a former Chelsea player
The previous Liverpool and Newcastle United left-back praised Solanke as a ‘complete striker’ and said he would be his first choice for the Team of the Season.
He also stated that the former Chelsea striker will start ahead of Darwin Nunez in the current Liverpool lineup.
Enrique went on to say: “Mohamed Salah is a simple pick on the right wing and his play has been unbelievable once more, but another former Liverpool player whom I like to use in attack is Dominic Solanke.”
When Solanke rose through the Chelsea junior system, big things were expected of him. He finally left the Blues in 2017 to join Liverpool, although he failed to make an impression at Anfield as well.
This season, the England international has finally lived up to his enormous promise, scoring 12 Premier League goals in 19 appearances.
This season, Solanke trails just Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah in the battle for the Premier League Golden Boot.
Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, who has previously been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City, is supposedly wanted by Liverpool and Chelsea.
According to Football Insider, the Frenchman is set to depart Selhurst Park at the conclusion of the season, with a number of teams keeping an eye on his progress.
Last summer, Olise was heavily connected with both Chelsea and Manchester City, and he even turned down a transfer to Stamford Bridge. Instead, the dynamic winger extended his contract with Crystal Palace until the summer of 2027, but he is still being pursued by major teams.
Despite Crystal Palace’s struggles this season, Olise has made an impression, scoring five goals and assisting once in nine Premier League games.
In 80 games since joining the Eagles from Reading in 2021, the France under-21 international has 11 goals and 20 assists.
