Jasprit Bumrah removes David Bedingham on Day 2 of the IND vs SA 2nd Test. South Africa gained the coin toss and chose to bat first. They were swept out for 55 points, with Mohammed Siraj leading the way for India (15/6).
With the bat, India was cruising at 153/4 when a stunning collapse saw them lose the next six wickets not putting a single run to the board.
From the first inning, it handed the visitors a 98-run advantage. South Africa is now batting at 93/5 in their second innings, falling five runs short of erasing India’s early advantage.

On the second day of the second Test between India and South Africa at Newlands in Cape Town on Thursday, Jasprit Bumrah delivered an early breakthrough. Day 2 began with the speedster dismissing David Bedingham in the first over.
Aiden Markram hit a century, but Jasprit Bumrah’s six-for bundled South Africa out for 176 in their second innings. South Africa were all out for 176 after Jasprit Bumrah took six wickets. India needs 79 runs to win the second Test.
South Africa’s second innings was in its 18th over when the wicket fell. Bumrah delivered a fuller-length ball outside off stump, and Bedingham drove it.
The batsman played it away from the body, resulting in a heavy outside edge that was caught by wicket-keeper KL Rahul.
It was Bumrah’s second wicket of the game. Similarly, the pacer removed rookie Tristan Stubbs in the last session of the first day.
Mohammed Siraj has taken over for Jasprit Bumrah, and Siraj is trying to get Markram as well. Neither the bowler nor the batter will forget David Bedingham’s delivery.
It was a kick from just back of length that soared off the bat’s splice to the slip cordon, which was fairly impressive with Yashasvi Jaiswal lunging either side to scoop catches.
