Arslanbek Makhmudov defeated Raphael Akpejiori via the second-round TKO in the second KO of the card. Makhmudov was on the offensive from the start. He landed some ferocious punches to score three knockdowns for Akpejiori. Ultimately, when Arslanbek landed a brutal right uppercut at the 1:43 mark, the match was called off by the referee. Therefore, the heavyweight bout was one-sided, as Canadian heavyweight Arslanbek intimidated his opponent throughout the match and was unbeaten at 17-0 with an early TKO finish.
On the other hand, in another fight on the undercard, Dante Benjamin faced Miradi Lubanzadio Zola. The match did not last long as Dante Benjamin knocked out Zola in the first round and earned a dominant TKO victory. Benjamin overwhelmed Zola with a flurry of punches, eventually ending the fight with a powerful left hand, handing Benjamin an easy win.
Anderson didn’t deliver the kind of explosive performances he’s known for, especially in his last two bouts, where he put the heavyweight division on notice as a potential future champion. But he did gain valuable experience against a heavyweight goalie.
