Jammu’s Secretary of the Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, talked to several of the players. “Taking part in any sports activity and physical exercise in general improves our health, muscular power, inner balance and life years. Physical exercises release endorphin chemical that makes us cheerful to accept any task with open mind. Physical exercises is linked to keep away many more diseases, reduces stress in life and hence I feel delighted to witness the maximum participation of our boys and girls in sports activities”.
Secretary of the Sports Council Nuzhat Gul said this on August 20, 2022, when she was the chief guest at the opening of the District Jammu Rugby Championship at the Green field, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
About the event
Rajiv Sharma, a member of the Sports Council; Sharat Chander Singh, the general secretary of the Athletic Association of J&K; Ashok Singh, a Div. Sports Officer and the manager of the field were with her. On the first day of the tournament, the participants and presenters all said, “Say no to drugs” in a single breath or voice.
The tournament is for boys and girls from the Jammu district. It is being put on by the District Rugby Association and the J&K Sports Council. Harmeet Singh, who is in charge of organizing the tournament and welcoming the chief guest and other officials, said that the Sports Council, which is led by Nuzhat Gul, does a lot to improve games and sports in both parts of UT J&K.
What the special guest had to say
As a special guest, Div. Sports Officer Jammu shared his thoughts and encouraged more than 200 participants to use these tournaments to show off their sports. Coordination between the organizers and the people in charge of the sports council was also brought up, as it will definitely help us develop the sports skills of the youth in the district. Team members took an oath that they would play the game by the rules and show their best skill and spirit during matches.
Sharat Chander Singh, who is the general secretary of the Athletic Association of J&K, along with Rishab, Sahil, coaches, and other officials from the Association, were there for the event’s start, which was a big party.
