Ex Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere announced his retirement from football on Friday at the age of 30 following an injury-plagued tenure.

Wilshere made his Arsenal breakthrough at the age of 16 years and 256 days in 2008, having going through the club’s youth.
The footballer posted his statement, saying that In fact, it has been tough to accept that my profession has been drifting away in coming times due to causes beyond my control. while still believing he had so much to contribute. Having played at the top level, he has always had high goals in the game.
In addition to being a member of the England team in the 2014 World Cup, where Roy Hodgson’s team was ousted in the group stage, Wilshere made the first of his 34 England appearances in 2010.
Wilshere mentioned that he had some time to think and consult his loved ones. He is aware that the time is right, and despite the challenging times, he is quite proud of what he has accomplished as he looks back on my career. When he was a young child growing up in Hitchin, playing at the highest level with some of the best players in the world, winning FA Cups, leading my club and representing my nation were beyond his wildest fantasies.
He is extremely grateful for the career he has had, but none of it would be possible without the affection and assistance of so many others.
With Arsenal, Wilshere won the FA Cup in 2014 and 2015. He later made a season-long loan move to Bournemouth before deciding to join West Ham permanently in the summer of 2018. In January 2021, he returned to Bournemouth on a temporary contract. He also spent time with the Danish team AGF.
