Rehan Ahmed is an English cricketer. He made his international debut against Pakistan on December 17, 2022. Becoming England’s youngest Test debutant aged 18 years and 126 days.
On the third day of the match, he became the youngest debutant to take five wickets in a men’s Test innings.
On March 12, 2023, Ahmed became the youngest England male cricketer to play in all three formats of international cricket.
England’s budding leggie Rehan Ahmed has admitted that it will be difficult to flourish in Indian conditions against some of the top spinners.
The juvenile cricketer feels there is still plenty of time for the IPL. And that he will be given opportunities in the future. But his priority is to play as much for England as possible.
Rehan is one of four specialist spinners chosen for the Test team, with Jack Leach, Tom Hartley, and Shoaib Bashir.
The 19-year-old claimed seven wickets in his lone Test against Pakistan in Karachi, including five in the second innings.
Speaking with The Telegraph, the teenager said that a few individuals had warned him about the potential of burning out due playing too much franchise cricket.
Rehan had initially registered for the IPL 2024 auction but withdrew a day before the event. As one of the most promising leg-spinners, he would have received a considerable price.

Rehan stated that he is working on a Shane Warne-style flipper and wants to study how the latter used to set batters up for it.
The first Test between India and England begins on January 25 in Hyderabad.
