Newcastle Joined is purportedly in a race with Chelsea and Manchester Joined for Ajax star Mohammed Kudus. At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Ghanaian international scored twice in three group-stage games, but his team did not advance to the knockout rounds. The 22-year-old, who is said to be worth £40 million, is being considered by Premier League teams.
Ben Jacobs, a CBS journalist, stated in an interview with NUFC Matters on YouTube (thanks to The Boot Room):
“Newcastle has also been following the player. Erik Ten Hag is attempting to connect with him. There are, in fact, a few teams, including Chelsea. Ajax will have a hard time holding on to him. With 11 goals in 24 games this season, he has had a breakout year.”
He added:
“It’s a weird one in multiple methods because you’re buying a forward if you like Kudus nowadays, but he wants to be an attacking midfielder, and Newcastle would like an attacking midfielder, especially one who can play in a more attacking position.”
Jacobs’ conclusion:
“Newcastle is there, for sure; there is nobody offered at this topic,” according to the report. “Interestingly, they had scouts watching him at the World Cup and they did believe him as a move for January.”
His Ajax contract runs through the summer of 2025. Director Erik ten Witch carried Antony and Lisandro Martinez with him to Manchester Joined when he turned into their supervisor the previous summer.
It remains to be seen how much effort he will put into bringing Kudus to the club, if at all. In 24 Eredivisie games this season, the former Nordsjaelland player has scored 11 goals and provided two assists. Although he is able to play on the flanks, it appears that he prefers to play as an attacking midfielder.
The 23-year-old star at Juventus is being pursued by Chelsea and Manchester United:
During the upcoming summer transfer window, Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly both interested in acquiring Dusan Vlahovic, a star player for Juventus.
The Serbian international signed with the Old Lady in January 2022, but it’s possible that he’s already on the move. In his very own exclusive CaughtOffside column, journalist Ben Jacobs wrote:
“Dusan Vlahovic is also a possibility for Manchester United, as was reported in December. Chelsea is also on the lookout. This summer presents a real chance to conclude a deal.”
After losing Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo last year without signing a replacement, Manchester United needs a striker upfront. The situation at Chelsea is similar.
While Kai Havertz hasn’t been a hit as a false nine, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is already looking for a way back to Barcelona. In the current season’s 25 Premier League matches, the German international has scored just six times.
