Antonio Nusa of Club Brugge has stated that he turned down a huge deal from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge before the season began, and he has now disclosed the Blues’ efforts to sign him.
Chelsea allegedly made a €30 million proposal for the young prodigy, and while many expected him to sign, Nusa eventually stayed at Brugge.
He recently agreed to an interview with HLN in which he discussed the events of the summer and how his career may have turned out differently.
The teenager explained how he learned about the Blues’ offer to HLN, saying:
We had a game, I believe against Osasuna at home. I was aware of their curiosity, but I was not made aware of the offer.
When I got on my phone after the game, the texts continued flowing.
The information had gotten out. I was taken aback, but we had already chosen to spend the night in Bruges.
The adolescent was taken aback by the sum, which he described as follows:
It startled me as well. ‘That’s a lot of money,’ I thought. However, we had known what we were going to do for some time, so it didn’t give me too much anxiety.
You consider it, but overall, I stay calm.
Despite a tempting offer from England, Antonio Nusa and his representation opted to stay with Club Brugge, as he revealed:
To be honest, I never considered, ‘Maybe I will do it.’ In any case, another year of Club was planned.
Even today, you never know what will happen this winter, but the strategy has not altered.
He has appeared in 25 games for Club Brugge this season, scoring three goals and contributing three assists.
Club Brugge – Chelsea midfielder poised to join Sevilla in January

According to the writer, David Datro Fofana is close to joining Sevilla. On his X account, Romano revealed to Chelsea fans:
His current loan spell at Union Berlin might conclude in January, making room for his next transfer to La Liga.
The striker has only scored twice in 17 appearances for Berlin and will be looking to improve on that performance against Sevilla.
