Islamic Solidarity Games 2022 Results And Medal Table: The fifth iteration of the Islamic Solidarity Games is being hosted by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation that is in Konya, Turkey. The tournament started on the 9th of August. The last day of the tournament is the 18th of August 2022. For the first time in tournament history, the Turkish Olympic Committee is going to be in charge of organizing the competition.
The Islamic Solidarity Sports was originally slated to take place from 20 to 29 August in the year 2021. But the ISSF postponed it because the original dates clashed with the 2020 Summer Olympics. The COVID-19 pandemic scenario in the countries that were participating became the reason for postponing it to August 2022.
The final schedule includes 22 disciplines from 19 sports, including 4 parasports. The final schedule was released in March 2022. The tournament decided to drop six sports: water polo, diving, field hockey, tennis, wushu, and zurkhaneh. At the expense of these events, sports like kickboxing, fencing, boccia, and archery were included in the tournament schedule.
