ISL 2023–24 will be the league’s tenth season as India’s top football competition. At the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on September 21, Kerala Blasters will play host to former champions Bengaluru FC in the first game.
One of the 12 teams contesting this season is Punjab FC, the 2022–23 I–I-League champions who have been promoted to the premier division. The ISL season comprising 12 teams will mark its debut.
At 11 locations, games will be played in a home-and-away style. Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, two bitter rivals, will play their home matches at Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium.
The AFC Champions League 2 (to be renamed from the AFC Cup) group stage will be open to the team with the most points at the conclusion of the league stage. The top two clubs will also advance directly to the ISL 2023–24 semifinals, with teams in positions three through six competing for the final two berths in elimination rounds.
On October 28, Mohun Bagan Super Giant and East Bengal will face off in the Kolkata Derby for the ISL title. The second portion of the schedule has not yet been made public.
ISL season 10 games begin at 8:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST), with the first match beginning at 5:30 PM on days having doubleheaders.
ISL 2023: Broadcast Channel and Live Streaming Details
The ISL 2023–24 will be broadcast live with English commentary on Sports18 1, Sports18 1 HD, VH1, and VH1 HD TV stations. On Sports18 Khel (Hindi), Surya Movies (Malayalam), DD Bangla, and Colours Bangla Cinema (Bengali), fans may watch ISL in regional languages.
