Ireland announces squad for T20Is against New Zealand
Ireland announces squad for T20Is against New Zealand. New Zealand will visit Ireland for a three-match Twenty20 International series beginning on March 31.
Ireland has kept the same roster from their recent T20I match against India, the top-ranked team in the MRF Tyres ICC Rankings. Despite going 0-2 in the two-match series, Ireland came close to chasing down a mammoth 226-run mark in the last T20I.
They’ve kept their spots: Conor Olphert and Stephen Doheny. Olphert earned his international debut against India, but uncapped Doheny could be in line for a call-up in the forthcoming match.
Of course, we’re going to back those guys who performed well against India, and we’re hoping they can replicate that performance in New Zealand.” “Andrew White, Ireland’s National Men’s Selectors Chair, made the statement. “I know the Indian team’s second T20I was well received by the crowd, but I also know the players and coaching staff were disappointed with the result.”
It is our goal that the players would be more consistent in their performances as a result of the last week’s success. Young and old alike should show their support for Stormont’s squad by turning out in large numbers.
Three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) precede the three T20I matches, and Ireland has already announced their squad for those matches.
Andrew Balbirnie (captain), Mark Adair, Curtis Campher, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Conor Olphert, Stephen Doheny, Josh Little, Andrew McBrine, Barry McCarthy, Paul Stirling, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, and Craig Young make up the team for the T20 international series.
