Cricket Zimbabwe is poised to face Ireland for a three-match ODI series beginning on Thursday, January 18.
Harare Sports Club in Harare will host all three games in the series.
Following the conclusion of the ODI series, both teams will face off in the five-match T20I series.
Mary-Anne Musonda will head Zimbabwe’s ODI squad, while Laura Delany will skipper the Irish team.
Ireland last toured Zimbabwe in October 2021, winning the ODI series 3-1.
Amy Hunter became the youngest ODI century in the same series.
These two sides last played each other in the 2022 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier final.
The Irish won by four runs and qualified for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Zimbabwe Women are joining this series after a good effort in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier in December 2023.
They qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, which will be hosted in the UAE this year.
Zimbabwe will be without famous players Josephine Nkomo and Modester Mupachikwa owing to commitments in Australia.
In their absence, the squad will include beloved Biza, 15, former U19 cricketer Adel Zimunu, and hitter Pellagia Mujaji.
Before the commencement of the series, Ireland Women will face Zimbabwe Women ‘A’ in a 50-over warm-up game on Tuesday, January 16 at Sunrise Sports Club.
