An international cricket stadium in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, the Ekana Cricket Stadium is more commonly referred to as the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium and used to be called the Ekana Cricket Stadium. With 50,000 seats, this facility is a public-private partnership project. It was given a new name in honor of the late Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
In September 2018, the Afghan national cricket team took on Pakistan in the stadium’s first international match. The IPL establishment, the Lucknow Super Goliaths, additionally plays there. In July 2019, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selected it as the third home venue for the Afghanistan national cricket team.
The first Twenty20 International (T20I) between India and the West Indies took place on November 6, 2018, at the stadium.
